Justice for Rover Workers Website

Who we are

Who we are:

The Justice for Rover Workers Group is an independent forum created by ex MG Rover worker Oliver Thomas. It is supported by fund trustees Prof. Dr. Carl Chinn and the Archbishop of York Dr. Sentamu. The campaign is supported by a number of MPs including Richard Burden of Northfield. The website aims to offer former MG Rover workers a unified voice.

Aims:

i)                    To create a central forum for ex-MG Rover workers, friends, family and well wishers to collate their thoughts and provide one united voice.

ii)                  To fully understand the current status of the Trust Fund. All Trust Fund-related individuals are welcomed to provide details on their position so that ex-Rover workers can have the latest factual information on the issue.

iii)                To offer Phoenix Venture Holdings a place where open dialogue can be exchanged.

iv)        We are seeking the maximum possible payout from the Trust Fund to be split equally among the 6,500 MG Rover employees who lost their jobs.

v)         We intend to be fair but persistent in pursuing achievement of these objectives and – we hope – offer a means of closure for both thousands of former MG Rover workers and the members of the Phoenix Consortium.
